Self taught from the likes of Youtube and Google, Caz started her caking life making birthday cakes for her young family and was soon asked to make cakes for friends and family. After repeatedly being told she should start a cake business from home, Caz finally took the plunge and in January 2019 'Caz's Cakes & Sugarcraft' was born.
Since then Caz has continued to develop her skills, keeping up with the latest wedding and celebration cake trends and specialising in hand crafted botanically correct and fantasy sugar flowers. Her work has been featured in various wedding publications and blogs including 'Magpie Weddings' and 'Your East Anglian Wedding' magazine.
As the business has grown and developed we now run from a converted barn which has been lovingly refurbished into a purpose built cake studio. We are fully registered and insured and hold a 5* hygiene rating, and are members of the 'British Sugarcraft Guild' and the 'Wedding Industry Supplier Network'.
All our cakes are made freshly to order, and we limit the number of bookings we take to ensure that we can give every order our full attention and ensure every cake that leaves the studio is perfect.
In addition to our beautiful bespoke wedding and celebration cakes, favours and toppers we offer the following:
Wedding Consultation & Tasting Sample Boxes
The ideal way to design your perfect wedding cake is to start with a Consultation and Tasting Session. Consultations are complimentary and take place in my kitchen studio. You will be able to view some of my display cakes before we discuss design ideas for your own wedding cake. Please do bring along anything that may inspire your cake design such as images you have collected, your wedding stationery, a picture of your wedding dress and wedding flowers or fabric/ colour swatches.
We also offer a Tasting Sample Box which can be collected or posted to you. These are priced at £20 per box and are available periodically during the year. Up to 5 different flavours will be selected for the bride and groom to sample.
After the consultation I will email you quotations for the design ideas discussed, giving you the time and space to decide whether you would like to proceed with an order.
Please kindly note, quotations will lapse if not accepted within 30 days of sending and the wedding date will no longer be held. A booking is not confirmed until the deposit payment has been received.
Cake Stand Hire
We have a variety of specialist wedding cake stands and cupcake stands available to hire.
Stands are only available to hire with a cake order. Stand hire is charged at £20 for a 3 day period, a £50 holding deposit is also required and will be refunded once the stand is returned undamaged. Alternatively, I can also offer a collection service from your venue for an additional charge.
Delivery & Set Up*
We offer personal delivery and 'set up' of your wedding cake on the day of your wedding at your reception venue. We frequently deliver to venues throughout South Lincolnshire and the surrounding counties. Delivery within an hour of our Studio is included in the price of your cake, and outside this it is charged per mile and the set up cost is determined by the time needed to assemble the cake. Please get in touch for a quotation. Alternatively you are welcome to collect your cake from my kitchen. If the cake is collected, Caz's Cakes & Sugarcraft will provide transport, assembly and storage instructions where necessary. Please note that once collected, full responsibility for the safety of the cake lies with the client, Caz's Cakes & Sugarcraft will not be liable for any damage to the cake once it has left the premises.
